Momentum Worx 78MM ULTRA Hybrid Turbo for CAT C15, 3406E & C16 Engines

The Momentum Worx ULTRA Hybrid was designed to answer one simple question:

Why can't you have the quick spool of a 1.32 housing and the top-end performance of a 1.45?

For years, the 78MM billet S410SX has been one of the most popular turbo upgrades for single turbo CAT engines. It makes excellent power, but many owners find themselves choosing between a restrictive 1.32 A/R housing that spools quickly but can overspeed at higher horsepower, or a 1.45 housing that flows great but gives up valuable low-end response.

The ULTRA Hybrid bridges that gap.

By combining an incredibly efficient GT47 turbine wheel (93MM / 84MM) with a billet 6+6 78MM compressor wheel and a carefully selected 1.42 A/R turbine housing, we've built a turbo that delivers the best characteristics of both.

The 1.42 housing lights almost as quickly as the popular 1.32 while providing the exhaust flow needed to keep drive pressure under control and prevent overspeed as power levels climb. The result is a turbo that pulls hard from the bottom, keeps pulling through the mid-range, and doesn't run out of breath on the top end.

Designed as a True Bolt-On Upgrade

Unlike many aftermarket turbo conversions, the ULTRA Hybrid was engineered to install with minimal hassle.

Features include:

  • Direct bolt-on T6 turbine flange
  • Direct-fit oil drain connection
  • Full Marmon turbine outlet
  • 6" compressor inlet

Then comes the things that make this turbo abundantly easier to install:

  • Upgraded V-band compressor discharge outlet
  • Premium braided stainless steel JIC oil feed line

Instead of reusing the factory CAT double O-ring compressor outlet, the ULTRA utilizes a superior V-band discharge connection for improved sealing, easier installation, and increased durability. We also replace the factory hard oil feed line with a premium braided stainless steel line featuring leak-free JIC fittings. Not only does this eliminate the factory sealing washers and rigid tubing, but it also makes future turbo service faster and virtually eliminates one of the most common sources of oil leaks.

To make installation completely straightforward, every turbo includes:

  • V-band compressor outlet elbow
  • V-band clamp
  • O-ring
  • Premium braided stainless steel JIC oil feed line
  • Gaskets

No hunting for extra parts. No fabrication. Simply bolt it on and go.

Perfect for 600 HP CAT Builds

This turbo is ideally suited for lightly modified single turbo CAT engines making approximately 550-650 horsepower.

Whether you're running factory injectors or stepping up to 58s with proper tuning, the ULTRA Hybrid provides excellent drivability, fast spool-up, lower exhaust drive pressure, and outstanding overall performance.
