S410SX
The S410SX series was created specifically for the heavy duty diesel crowd. BorgWarner originally designed the S410 & S410G turbochargers to act as replacements for the Garrett GT47 turbos on aging caterpillar 3406 and C15 engines. BorgWarner quickly noticed that customers were wanting more performance from their turbos, and began offer them with the upgraded bearing, compressor wheels, and exhaust housing options, thus the S410SX turbo upgrade was born!
The major benefit of the S410SX over the S400SX is bearing spacing. The wider journal bearing promotes strength in the rotating assembly over a more narrow bearing spacing. BorgWarner also elongated the bearing housing so that this turbos would be a direct fit with all factory lines on a single turbo caterpillar.
