The Garrett GTX4720R Gen II Supercore (851285-5014S) combines the massive airflow potential of Garrett's 120mm GTX4720 compressor family with an efficient 80mm inducer design, creating an excellent balance between response, efficiency, and outright horsepower capability.

Built around Garrett's proven dual ball bearing center section and advanced Gen II compressor aerodynamics, the GTX4720R is designed for serious diesel performance, drag racing, truck pulling, and custom motorsports applications where airflow demands exceed what traditional GT47 and GTX4709 combinations can deliver.

Unlike a complete turbocharger, this supercore includes the compressor housing, CHRA, turbine wheel, and shaft assembly, but does not include a turbine housing. This allows builders to select the turbine housing A/R and flange configuration best suited to their specific horsepower goals and operating conditions.

The GTX4720R features an 80mm billet Gen II compressor wheel with a massive 120mm exducer. This larger compressor family offers increased airflow capability over standard GTX4709 models while retaining excellent compressor efficiency across a broad operating range.

On the turbine side, the GTX4720R utilizes Garrett's proven 93mm / 84mm turbine wheel. This turbine section provides the exhaust flow capacity needed to support substantial boost levels and high-horsepower applications while maintaining the durability expected from Garrett's GTX47 platform.
