This Turbo Safety Shatter Blanket wraps around the compressor housing to help contain flying debris in the event of a turbocharger failure, reducing the risk of dangerous fragments reaching the racetrack, nearby vehicles, or spectators.

Don't confuse this with a traditional turbo blanket!

A conventional turbine housing blanket is designed to retain exhaust heat and improve thermal efficiency. This compressor safety blanket serves a completely different purpose: CONTAINMENT.

While it does offer some heat-reflective properties, its primary job is helping keep the carnage contained when things go wrong.
