Momentum Worx STREET SPOOL Turbo – Garrett GTX5533 for Caterpillar C15 & 3406E

If you’re building a high horsepower Caterpillar C15, 3406E. Or Detroit Series 60, this is the turbo that bridges the gap between race truck power and real-world drivability.

The Momentum Worx STREET SPOOL is built around the proven Garrett GTX5533, but fixed where most setups fall short — drivability.

Traditional GTX55 setups on big bore diesel engines (like the CAT C15, 3406E, Cummins ISX, and Detroit Series 60) tend to suffer from lazy spool and poor low RPM response due to open turbine housings. That’s fine on a dyno. It’s a problem on the street.

The STREET SPOOL pairs a ball bearing Garrett GTX5533 CHRA with a T6 divided (twin scroll) wastegated exhaust housing, giving you:

  • Faster spool-up on large displacement diesel engines
  • Stronger low RPM boost response
  • Better throttle control under load
  • Reduced turbo lag compared to open housing GTX55 setups
