Pulls like a train
This turbo runs very well on my 12.7. EGTs don’t go over 850 degrees even on long grades loaded 85k. Definitely have to keep rpms above 1500 to keep temps happy. Only things I have done engine wise is exhaust manifold and tuning set at 575hp.

Good Upgrade
So far so good as a replacement for the 171702. It does like higher rpm, so it’s best not to lug your truck or your EGTs are gonna creep up. Spools up pretty quick, but really starts building boost around 1500. In my experience with a 12.7 Detroit, you have to drive them like you stole them and this turbo seems to fit that kind of demand! Plus, I gained .75 MPG just upgrading it over the Borg Warner. Overall pretty impressed with the build quality and performance! Check back in a year or so which is all we’re getting out of the Borg.
