EMERGENCY Road Side Turbo Kit.. What The Heck?
What is an EMERGENCY Road Side Turbo Kit, and why do you need one?
Have you ever been running across I80 in the middle of the night, when suddenly you here a POP....and your turbo goes out? Now you are faced with a choice, sit here for hours waiting for a tow to a nearby shop or worse - a far away shop, OR - bust out your emergency road side turbo kit and get back on the road.
While this won't work for any of those new plastic trucks, (unless they have been swapped to a T6 style turbo), this kit is going to work on pretty much ANY T6 flange manifold, so your single turbo cats, Detroit series 60s, older Macks, and any reverted new truck - you can slap this thing on and get back on the road!
This is especially a strong option for customers running big power setups. Because when you're making all the boost, there is likely going to be a time when the turbo "leaves the chat" at an inopportune time. So while having a $5,000 turbo in your bunk isnt practical, this sub $1000 turbo kit is a no brainer and will allow you to limp the truck to the drop off and home.
So...whats all in an Emergency Road Side Turbo kit? Let me tell you!
1) Momentum Worx S475 Turbo - this is our cast 75MM turbo. Again, not going to win a race, but will get you home!
2) Compressor Discharge Elbow, Clamp, and O-Ring - just in case you have a cat style elbow or something else, we give you everything you need to mate up to your charge air cooler pip.
3) Qty 2 Different Sized Air Cleaner Pipe Reducers For Turbo Intake - your air cleaner piping might be 6" or 5.5", so we include reducers to make sure that no matter what size pipe you have, it will fit the front of the turbo.
4) Exhaust Clamp - Because you are going to need to keep your exhaust pipe back up!
5) 5" Exhaust Pipe Adapter- your factory exhaust may not bolt up to our turbo, but this allows you to easily mate with any 5" pipe connection.
6) Qty 4 Oil Line Bolts - to ensure that will be able to secure your oil feed and drain lines to the turbo.
7) Manifold to Turbo and Oil Line Gaskets - Cant complete a job without these!
8) Silicone Hose and Clamps for Drain Pipe Extension - Just incase the length of your turbo oil drain pipe is too short.
